Make your own website
Simple, right?
Compared to living through the wonderful year of 2020, making your own website is now considered childs play. There are plenty of tools to help you make a website without needing to code anything and I want to show you how to use those tools to make any website you want.
What's Involved
Let's take a look at the stages you need to take to make your website.
I want to help you with each stage as best I can.
Website Hosting & Domain
No matter the type of website you are going to create, a Website Hosting Account and a Domain Name are required.
Website Hosting
Your website will have many files (images, text, etc) to ensure it always runs correctly these are stored on a hosting account.
Domain Name
A domain name allows for easy access to your website hosting, where your website is located. The domain google.com allows us to easily visit Googles Website.
Website hosting helps you manage many aspects of your website. I have many guides and tutorials to help you learn more about website hosting and how to use it.
Building Your Website
Once you have your domain name and website hosting account it is time to start building your website. Depending on the type of website you want to build this stage can vary a lot.
Platform/Application
We will utilize different platforms, applications, plugins, etc depending on the type of website you want. An ecommerce website and a Blog would use a different toolset, I will cover all this in the different tutorials.
Promoting Your Website
If you want to catch a fish you don't simply stand by the lake and hold out a bucket, it doesn't matter how well your bucket was built. Your new website might be amazing but if there are no hooks out in the water you won't get many visitors. It's time to start promoting your website.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
First up we need to tell search engines (like Google) that your website exists and is ready for business. Then we can work on improving your website in the eyes of search engines.
Social Marketing
Social media is way to big now to ignore, you need to make a foothold in multiple social networks.
